About the Position
Inflo Health is seeking a Junior QA Engineer to join our product engineering team. This is a great entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate who is detail-oriented, curious, and eager to build a career in software quality. In this hands-on role, you will be the front line of reliability for our radiology follow-up management platform — manually validating new features and running regression tests across multiple deployment environments to ensure our product meets the highest standards of accuracy and stability. You will work closely with developers and operations to identify, reproduce, and log defects surfaced through error monitoring tools such as Sentry and Azure. As you grow with the team, you will have the opportunity to expand into automation, contributing directly to our Playwright-based end-to-end test suite and helping build a scalable QA foundation for the organization. We provide mentorship, structured onboarding, and a clear path for growth — no prior professional QA experience required.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough manual validation of new product features across all active deployment environments, ensuring correctness, consistency, and edge-case coverage
- Write, maintain, and execute structured regression test plans against staging, QA, and production environments before and after each release cycle
- Monitor operational systems, including Sentry, Azure Application Insights, and other error logging platforms, to proactively surface, reproduce, and document bugs
- Write clear, detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual behavior, environment details, and supporting screenshots or logs
- Triage incoming defects, assess severity and priority, and collaborate with developers to validate fixes before re-release
- Work closely with product managers and engineers to clarify acceptance criteria and flag ambiguities before development begins
- Contribute to and extend our automated Playwright test suite, growing into a hybrid manual/automation QA role over time
- Help build and maintain test case libraries, regression checklists, and QA documentation
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and provide QA status updates, release readiness assessments, and risk summaries
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent coursework/self-study)
- A foundational understanding of software testing concepts — whether from coursework, a capstone project, an internship, or personal projects
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving; able to spot inconsistencies and think through edge cases
- Basic familiarity with web technologies (browsers, HTML, REST APIs) and comfort using developer tools for inspection and debugging
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing — you can describe what went wrong, how to reproduce it, and what you expected to happen
- Curiosity about how software systems work and a genuine interest in growing into test automation
- Comfortable picking up new tools quickly; prior exposure to any bug tracker, version control system, or project management tool is a plus
Nice to Have
- Any hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or another automated testing framework — even from a class project or tutorial
- Exposure to Jira, Azure DevOps, Linear, or any bug-tracking/project management tool
- Basic scripting or programming ability in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python — enough to read and tweak a test script
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- Any internship, co-op, or part-time experience in a software development or QA environment
- Interest in healthcare technology or a passion for building software that makes a difference in people’s lives
