Close the loop on every finding, every time, across every EHR.

Your EHR flags the finding. Inflo makes sure it gets finished. We find every follow-up recommendation in your radiology reports, reach the ordering provider and the patient, and confirm the care actually happened. We work alongside the EHR you have today, whether that’s Oracle Health (Cerner), MEDITECH, or any other EHR.

Most hospitals can’t say how many follow-ups never happen

In July 2026, we asked ten radiology and imaging leaders, from community hospitals to multi-state systems, one question: what happens after a radiologist flags a finding?
“Hey, we’ve recognized this is abnormal in the study, good luck. And that doesn’t really benefit the patient or imaging at all.” (Focus group participant)

Outside breast and lung, most follow-up is manual, or doesn’t happen at all.

Navigators are valued everywhere and funded almost nowhere. We turned the focus group into a short report and a four-stage framework for closing the gap.

Should you wait for your EHR to fix follow-up?

It’s the question we hear most from hospitals regardless of their EHR.

It’s a fair question: nobody wants to buy something their EHR will give them next year. But the patients with findings in this week’s reports can’t wait for a roadmap.

What EHR-based tools do well

Tools built into the EHR, or bolted onto it, have gotten good at the first step:
  • Reading the free-text report and spotting “recommend follow-up CT in 6 months”
  • Putting that recommendation on a worklist, a job that used to take a person hours
  • Covering breast and lung, where most hospitals already have programs

Where patients still fall through

The hard part is the middle of the workflow, where patients are actually lost:
  • Shifting through the list to find the 2 follow-ups out of 50 that need a nudge
  • Reaching the ordering provider, who may be outside your system or on a different EHR
  • Getting the order placed. A notification in an inbox is not an order.
  • Getting the exam scheduled and done, for patients who read results in the portal or never log in
  • Confirming closure. Without it, no one can say what share of follow-ups happened.
An EHR roadmap may improve identification. It won’t reduce manual review, staff your follow-up, reach providers outside your walls, or measure closure across every finding type.

Built for the EHR you have

Inflo works alongside your EHR, not inside its roadmap.

On Oracle Health (Cerner)

Follow-up can’t wait for your EHR roadmap.

  • Stable through change. Whether you’re staying on Oracle Health, evaluating or migrating, closure tracking keeps running and your history comes with you.
  • One integration, not a queue of projects. Every finding type runs through a single platform.
  • No new FTEs. Your navigators manage exceptions instead of working lists start to finish.

On MEDITECH, CPSI/TruBridge, MEDHOST or Altera

Enterprise follow-up without enterprise staff.

  • Built for lean teams. Automation carries the routine work, so having one navigator, or none, isn’t a blocker.
  • Fast to value. Start with a look back at past reports to find your real closure rate before you change any workflow.
  • Pays for itself. Completed follow-up brings back downstream imaging and care that would otherwise leave your system.

Technology does the routine work. Your team handles the exceptions.

Inflo closes the loop in three steps.
DETECT — AI reads every radiology report and pulls out each follow-up recommendation. That covers lung and breast, plus the hepatobiliary, renal, adrenal, vascular and other incidental findings that usually go untracked. No changes to dictation or reporting.
ACTIVATE — Automated outreach reaches the ordering provider in their existing workflow, including providers outside your system. It reaches the patient by text with a secure link, no portal account required.
CLOSE — Inflo tracks each finding until the exam is ordered, scheduled and completed, then documents closure, even when care happens elsewhere. Your staff step in only when automation can’t finish the job.
One platform and one worklist for every finding type, and a closure rate you can finally report.

How a 314-bed hospital closed the loop on lung nodules

East Alabama Medical Center is a regional referral hospital that had no scalable way to track incidental lung nodules. Staff spent about five hours a week reading reports by hand.
Working with Inflo Health and the ACR Learning Network, EAMC changed that.

“The technology introduced by Inflo Health has significantly streamlined our processes, reduced manual effort and boosted staff efficiency. This has also enabled us to expand care navigator roles to other clinical areas.”

Start with one number: your real closure rate

Ask about a retrospective analysis

How many recommended follow-ups actually got done? A retrospective analysis of 12 to 24 months of your radiology reports answers that. It needs no workflow change and no new EHR. That number turns “should we invest?” into “how far behind are we?”
